This was an amazing Airbnb experience we ever had. The property is fully furnished with everything a guest needs. Some Highlights below:
1. A jacuzzi just next to the swimming pool. I spent much time reading and taking a rest in it.
2. A swimming pool is a plus if you dont go to the ocean and believe me this experience is great. I booked many hotels with this amenities but none with such a great view just in your face.
3. Different kinds of birds visits from time to time and it is great time seeing them.
4. What needless to say is the stunning ocean, mountain plus island view.
5. The house itself has everything you need. You just need to get some food from the grocery and you'll have a great dinner.
6. The property is 10 mins from Airlie Beach by taxi (cost 33 dollars single trip so it is okay). If you want to take a bus, just 20-30 mins walk to the closest station and you can have it. I dont drive but this is okay for me.

"This place is outstanding! The photos don’t fully capture just how peaceful and beautiful it is - especially with its stunning harbor view both inside and out! The unit is well designed for a couple. Nice bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable bed and furniture. The pool, hot tub, and deck are right outside. Location is a perfect home base for the Whitsundays. It’s a short drive to Shute Harbour’s itours and ferries and close to Airlie Beach. There’s a trail around the corner that’s a beautiful hike to a coral beach. To cap it off, Ron and Cathy were amazing hosts who made our birthday celebration special. The interior actually exceeded my expectations and all Catherine’s little touches around the place did not go unnoticed. "The Point has the best location in Shute Harbour for views. 180degree views of the bay and islands. We went for lots of beautiful hikes but honestly I could sit there all day and look at the view from the deck by the pool. Even from inside the view is awesome. Sit for long enough and you will see Turtles and many other sea creatures and birds. A telescope is thoughtfully provided so you can zoom into any action on the water. I would recommend having a car during your stay unless you want to stay in most of the time. There is little shopping in Shute Harbour at present but Airlie Beach has plenty about 15 - 20 minutes drive away. What you loose in local amenities you gain in peace and quiet . "I’d seen The Point Whitsundays a year ago on Airbnb and it left a memory trace. The space and surrounds were all I could want and need. It was magnificent and I could feel the stress dissolve. We all need different things from our holiday-what I needed was to pretend for a few days that I lived there and soak in the view the pool the jacuzzi and the abundant plants and wildlife. If that’s what you need I also recommend a massage by Manyia and the sealink Whitehaven beach-that was enough -well a few more days perhaps-but beyond that it was perfect." – Tiffany May2023
